Description of the Expedition

This photo-expedition took place in the late fall of 2001, in the western coastal region of British Columbia, Canada.  More specifically, we began in Vancouver and proceeded to the Gulf Islands.  From Galiano Island we  proceeded to the southern tip of Vancouver Island, then up along both the west and east coasts of Vancouver Island, then on northward from Port Hardy via the Inside Passage to Prince Rupert on the border with Alaska, then westward by boat to the Queen Charlotte Islands.   The return route took us south, back to Vancouver via interior roadways through the stunning mountains and valleys of British Columbia.  The months of October and November were most desirable because of the volatile weather patterns in which I love to photograph.
